Woodland Phlox

Woodland Phlox are a group of native perennials that grows up to 12” tall and spread 2-3’ wide. They sprawl along the ground and produce flowers in white, light blue or pink. Woodland Phlox is great as and accent or used as edging for flower beds. Mass planting on slopes will help control erosion, but it may not be suitable if weed control is a requirement. Woodland Phlox is not vary deer resistant. This perennial has moderate wildlife value as a pollinator.
Plant Care:
Woodland Phlox does best in partial shade. This perennial thrives in moist, well drained, slightly acidic soil, and does best in hardiness Zones 4-8. Woodland Phlox should be kept moist for the first year, especially during hot and dry conditions, but it is somewhat drought tolerant once established.
Ideal planting seasons: Spring and Fall.
