One-Year Limited Guarantee

We will replace a plant if it dies within its first year, and if the plant is planted in accordance with our Planting Guide and Watering Guide.  Simply bring in the plant’s original register receipt and the dead plant material (including the rootball) if you would like us to diagnose the problem.  Note: Loyalty members have receipts on file that we can look up in store.

The One-Year Limited Guarantee provides you with 1) a one-time replacement of the plant of equal value or 2) store credit for the original purchase price.  Cash refunds are not available.

Exclusions and Terms of the One-Year Limited Guarantee:

  1. Eligible plants cannot have been damaged, abused, neglected, or killed by means of extreme weather, actions of a person, animal, or insect (including, but not limited to, early and late frosts, wind, and extreme rain, or drought).

  2. Plants must be planted in the ground with properly amended soil according to our Planting Guide.

  3. Plants must be watered regularly according to our Watering Guide.

  4. Plants planted in containers or in planters are not eligible for the guarantee.

  5. Products sold on clearance, sale, discounted, or through special promotions are not eligible for the guarantee.

  6. Products sold to commercial accounts or to landscape contractors are not eligible for the guarantee.

  7. While we guarantee the following products to be healthy and true to the name at the time of purchase, they are not eligible for the guarantee:

  • Annual flowers (ex. Begonias, Impatiens, Pansies, Petunias, etc.)

  • Cedrus (cedar) species

  • Cherry trees

  • Combination planters

  • Daphne

  • Dogwood trees

  • Hanging baskets

  • Herbs

  • Houseplants

  • Leucothoe

  • Mountain Laurel

  • Pieris

  • Plants cold hardy to zone 8 or greater (ex. Bayleaf, Fatsia, ‘Pixie Purple’ Loropetalum, Pittosporum, etc.)

  • Plants labeled with a “No Warranty” tag

  • Prunus trees

  • Rhododendron

  • Spruce species (includes live Christmas trees)

  • Tender perennials (ex. Callas, Lantana, Setcreasea, Verbena, etc.)

  • Tropical plants

  • Vegetable plants
